Blending code and digital imagery to construct captivating virtual realms, San Francisco's startup Thirdweb has enlisted Atif Khan, formerly of Facebook, as Vice President of Gaming. Khan's appointment aims to establish an all-inclusive toolkit for developers.
Notably, this collaboration comes as a surprising move, considering Thirdweb's recent release of 'Web3 Warriors,' a game that showcases the enchantment of blockchain technology. While the company has already demonstrated its proficiency in Web3 development, it is now prepared to embark on a fresh endeavor as a blockchain-powered application creator.
With the recruitment of Khan, who possesses a deep understanding of the intricate mechanics involved in Web3 gaming creation, such as wallet generation, asset creation, RPC nodes, APIs, marketplace enhancements, payment processing, and game engine manuals, the newly appointed Vice President aims to streamline these processes by providing a comprehensive, all-in-one Web3 tool stack for game developers to acquire and utilize.
"We aim to develop a superior, all-encompassing tool that serves as a centralized hub, eliminating the need for developers to navigate through multiple platforms," emphasized Khan in a recent interview.
Through a successful Series A funding round, securing a substantial $24 million from industry giants including Polygon Labs, Coinbase Ventures, Shopify, and Haun Ventures, Thirdweb is poised to unleash its full potential in the Web3 gaming sphere, leading to an impressive valuation of $160 million.
As the Thirdweb all-in-one toolkit takes form, creators will soon have the freedom to explore an expansive Web3 landscape, efficiently crafting new games within the Web3 realm while encountering fewer complexities and obstacles. In the meantime, they can enjoy the offerings of Web3 Warriors and more from the company.
